ADHD Parenting Support Group

A weekly online group for parents with ADHD who feel constantly behind and stretched thin

Who This Group is For

This group is for adults in NY or CA who:

  • Feel like they are always behind on both their own needs and their kids’ needs

  • Struggle to find time or energy for themselves while managing parenting demands

  • Carry the mental load of planning, organizing, and keeping things running

  • Feel overwhelmed, isolated, or stuck in cycles of self-criticism

What You Can Expect

  • Relief from realizing you’re not the only one struggling in these ways

  • More awareness of harsh self-criticism and how to soften it

  • Insight from hearing how other parents are navigating similar challenges

  • Greater ability to recognize and value small, realistic changes

Instead of feeling like you need to catch up on everything at once, you may begin to approach parenting and your own needs with more flexibility and realism.

What We Do Each Week

This is a discussion-based, process-oriented group.

Sessions are shaped by what members are dealing with in real time, rather than following a set curriculum.

In each session, we may:

  • Talk through current challenges that feel most pressing

  • Explore emotional responses like overwhelm, guilt, or frustration

  • Notice patterns in expectations, capacity, and self-criticism

  • Respond to and connect with each other’s experiences

I’ll help guide the conversation to ensure there’s space for different voices and will offer prompts when helpful, but the group is not structured around weekly goals or skills training.

Common Questions

Do I need a formal ADHD diagnosis?
No, you can be self-identified.

Is this a parenting skills group?
No. While parenting challenges are central, this group is not focused on strategies or techniques. It’s a space for support, reflection, and shared understanding.

Will I need to talk every week?
You’re encouraged to participate, but you don’t need to speak every session. Many people find value in listening and reflecting as well.

How is this different from your ADHD accountability group?
The accountability group is structured and focused on follow-through and goals. This group is more open and process-oriented, with an emphasis on emotional experience, self-understanding, and reducing pressure.

Can I join if I’m in individual therapy?
Yes, many people use group therapy alongside individual work.

What if I feel like I’m not doing as well as other parents?
That experience often comes up in this group. Part of the work is noticing how those comparisons form and how they affect you.

What is the group cancellation policy?
If you’re going to miss a session, please let me know. Payment is required for missed sessions to maintain group stability and your reserved spot.

How do I get started?
We’ll start with a 10-15 minutes consultation call to discuss what you would like to get out of the group and answer any questions that you may have.

From there we decide whether the group is the a good fit for you and get you scheduled for your first session.
