Fees & Policies

This page outlines my fees, insurance information, and office policies so you know what to expect before starting therapy.

Session Fees

  • Individual & Couples Therapy: $300 per 45-minute session

  • Groups: $80 per session

  • I provide a limited number of reduced fee spots. You can schedule a consultation call or email me to learn more

Insurance & Reimbursement

  • Out-of-Network Provider: I do not bill insurance directly but do provide a monthly superbill that you can submit for reimbursement.

  • How Reimbursement Works:

    • You pay upfront and then submit the superbill to your insurance.

    • Coverage depends on your plan (deductible, reimbursement %, allowable amount).

  • Questions to Ask Your Insurance:

    • What’s my out-of-network deductible?

    • What percentage of therapy fees are reimbursed?

    • Is telehealth covered (if applicable)?

    • Are there session limits per year?

    • Do you cover group therapy sessions (if applicable)?

Payment Policies

  • Payment Methods: Credit card on file.

  • Billing:

    • Individual and couples sessions are billed after each appointment.

    • Group sessions are billed on the first of the month for the upcoming month’s meetings.

  • Superbills: Your receipt that can be submitted for insurance reimbursement is available through the client portal on the 1st of each month for the month prior.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Individual & Couples Therapy: 48 hours’ notice required.

    • If you cancel late but reschedule in the same week, there is no additional charge.

    • Otherwise, late cancellations are billed at the full rate.

  • Groups: Payments are non-refundable to support consistency and group flow.

Confidentiality

All sessions are private and protected by law, with exceptions for safety concerns. You’ll receive more detailed information in the intake consent paperwork, and I welcome any questions you may have.

Communication

Email (liz@lgpsychotherapy) or text (323-963-3335) are the best way to reach me between sessions.

Emergencies

I’m not able to provide crisis services outside of scheduled sessions. If you ever feel unsafe or are in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. You can also call 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, for immediate support.
